I qualified as a chartered physiotherapist in Newcastle in 1990 and spent my early years working in the NHS in Newcastle General Hospital and the Royal Victoria Infirmary.
After a year of travelling and working as a physiotherapist in Australia I returned to the north east to join an independent physiotherapy company. Here I worked for almost 20 years alongside other healthcare professionals providing care to patients in private practice, GP surgeries and in occupational health.
I trained in acupuncture and reflextherapy early on in my career as I always had an interest in the alternative and holistic side of healthcare and had my first exposure to craniosacral therapy back in 2000.
Since then I have worked in a local school looking after the health and well being of the children up to age 13 years as a physiotherapist as well as using my acupuncture skills in a therapy clinic.
I revisited the amazing world of craniosacral therapy training with the Upledger Institute and I now work solely with this therapy.
I regularly receive treatment myself enjoying the benefits of this wonderful balancing therapy to help keep me in optimal health.
