BSc Hons

Physiotherapy, Acupuncture and Pilates

Hi, I’m Lucy, I am a Senior Physiotherapist with over 15 years’ experience.

I graduated in 2008 from Teeside University with a Bsc (Hons) in Physiotherapy.

My career started at North Tees and Hartlepool NHS, where I completed all core rotations before specialising with Musculoskeletal (MSK).

I enjoy meeting new people, listening and understanding their problems, I approach them with an optimistic outlook, providing treatment and education in helping patients achieve their goals.

I delved into a busy private practice in 2012 in Newcastle, seeing a variety of patient conditions, where I provided expert treatment of headaches, neck, shoulder, and lower back pain. I developed my skills in Acupuncture, Manual Therapy and Clinical Pilates.

Towards the later stages of this role, I was responsible for educating and training the new graduates.

I have experience with a local rugby club devising individual treatment plans to get the team back to full fitness and offered pitch side management.

I have a passion for teaching classes, I have 10 years’ experience in teaching Pilates (APPI) with a special interest in antenatal and postnatal.

I strive to attend post graduate courses, seminars, and webinars to keep up to date and continue my professional development and evidence based practice.
