Lisa Jones

Pilates Instructor

Hello, I’m Lisa, and I am delighted to be joining Tayloredfit’s Clinical Pilates team. I am a third year Physiotherapy student at Teesside University and a practicing Registered General Nurse.

Before beginning my journey into healthcare, I served as a soldier in the Royal Artillery. One of my favourite roles during that time was working as a rock climbing instructor, where I really honed my communication and leadership skills, helping people face their fears and achieve things they never thought possible.

I live a wonderfully active life with my husband, two boisterous boys, and our two border terriers. When I have time, I thoroughly enjoy running, horse riding, cycling, swimming, and, of course, rock climbing. After I qualify as a Physiotherapist, I plan to combine my skills as a Nurse and specialise in women’s health and elderly/frailty.

For me Pilates is about showing up for myself with intention. I believe it is a practice that blends strength, control and positivity. Essentially contributing to overall functional fitness in ways that can make everyday life easier, prevent injury, and build resilience. Most of all, I feel it is a way to commit to health, growth, and wellbeing, both on and off the mat. Pilates can be hard, which is why I will always strive to provide fun and engaging classes that will encourage you to reminder that you are capable of growth, discipline, and progress.

I look forward to welcoming you to one of my classes soon.
