Hello, my name is Lisa and I am delighted to be continuing my journey with Taylored Fit Physiotherapy as I transition from Clinical Pilates Instructor to Physiotherapist and Menopause Specialist Nurse.
I am a Registered General Nurse, APPI Clinical Pilates Instructor and soon to be Registered Physiotherapist. I’m passionate about helping people improve their health, wellbeing and quality of life. My work includes injury recovery, managing long-term conditions and improving physical performance. I also support people through key life stages such as menopause. My aim is to empower clients through evidence-based rehabilitation, movement and education.
Before beginning my healthcare career, I served in the Royal Artillery, where one of my favourite roles was working as a rock climbing instructor. This experience strengthened my communication, leadership and resilience. It also taught me how to help people achieve goals they may never have thought possible.
Outside of work, I live a wonderfully active life with my husband, two energetic boys and our two border terriers. I enjoy running, horse riding, cycling, swimming, strength training and, of course, rock climbing. These experiences give me a real appreciation of the physical and mental benefits of staying active, regardless of age, ability or fitness level.
At Tayloredfit Physiotherapy, I am excited to combine my Nursing and Physiotherapy backgrounds to help develop a truly holistic approach to health and wellbeing. My particular interests include pelvic health, pregnancy and postnatal rehabilitation, menopause care, healthy ageing, frailty and exercise-based rehabilitation.
Supporting women through midlife is a key focus on my work. As a Menopause Specialist Nurse, I help women understand their symptoms and feel more in control of their health. I provide practical support through education, lifestyle advice, exercise and evidence-based care. Alongside this, my physiotherapy training enables me to address movement, strength, mobility, musculoskeletal concerns and pelvic health issues that can affect overall quality of life.
Pilates remains at the heart of my approach. For me, Pilates is much more than exercise; it builds strength, confidence, control and resilience. Whether your goal is recovering from injury, improving performance, managing symptoms, returning to exercise after pregnancy, navigating menopause, or simply moving with greater ease, Pilates provides a safe and effective foundation for long-term health and wellbeing.
I hope to create welcoming, supportive and enjoyable sessions that challenge you appropriately while helping you build confidence in what your body can achieve. I firmly believe that movement is one of the most powerful tools we have for maintaining our health, independence and quality of life.
I look forward to welcoming you to a class, clinic appointment or wellbeing programme soon.
