Introducing a new type of blog into the mix – a way of finding out a little more about some of team tayloredfit!
So sit back and relax and let Victoria tell you more about herself and her business
Tell us a bit about yourself and the name or nature of your business
Hi, I’m Victoria.
I am ‘Tranquil Treatments – Reflexology and Massage Therapies’.
I am also a Mammy to 2 amazing girls and wife to the lovely Steve.
Tell us more about your work
I offer Reflexology, Maternity Reflexology, Indian Head Massage, Swedish Massage and Pregnancy Massage – relaxing, calming therapies that have positive benefits for both body and mind.
Who would benefit from coming to see you?
Reflexology can be received by anyone at any age, from babies to the elderly. It is a very safe form of therapy, although for certain health conditions treatment may not be considered suitable.
Reflexology can benefit people suffering from the following:
Digestive Issues such as IBS
Reflexology is used to achieve deep relaxation to relieve stress and tension. Reducing stress and tension can help to calm the nervous system, improve blood circulation and eliminate toxins, all of which helps to create homeostasis (balance), which means that the organs in the body are all working together and at their best.
What are the best bits about what you do?
Being able to offer my clients a calm, tranquil space where they have time to focus on themselves and truly relax.
The feedback I receive from clients. When they tell me how they have felt relief from certain symptoms, how well they slept after treatment, how relaxed they felt or that they ‘floated’ out of the room!
What are the biggest challenges about what you do?
Setting up my business while raising a young family has been quite a challenge.
The admin side of being self-employed is quite time-consuming. Website building, leaflet design, paperwork, accounts. I do it all!! 🙂
It is all worth it, as I am doing something I LOVE that I can work around my family
Why did you choose to collaborate with Tayloredfit Physio?
Vicky and Mark are so inspiring. I first read an article about them last year and have followed their journey since. Hearing how Vicky built the business while working from home and raising a young family spurred on my decision to follow my own dream of using my training and qualifications and becoming self-employed.
It is amazing what they have achieved at the chapel and how they are bringing lots of therapies together in this beautiful space.
What are your business goals in the next 5 years?
I am excited to be joining Taylored Fit Physio and bringing Reflexology and Massage Therapies to clients old and new.
Reflexology is my passion, I have lots of further training planned which will enable me to continue to provide the best treatment possible for my clients.
Over the next year I will be training in Reflexology Lymph Drainage. I also have plans to study Clinical Reflexology which will further extend my knowledge of this fascinating therapy.
Where is your favourite place to go on holiday?
I love to visit Scotland, especially the West Coast. It is such a beautiful, tranquil place!
We have had many memorable family holidays there.
Who makes you laugh?
And Sarah Millican!
What is your top tip to staying healthy in mind and body?
Taking some time to focus on yourself.
Self-care can sometimes seem like another thing to add to an already exhaustive to-do list, but having that time for yourself whether it means going for a walk, meeting up with a friend or taking an hour for Reflexology can have such a positive impact on other areas of your life.
Tell us a random, interesting or funny story about you!
I got married in Thailand. The night before the wedding I had a near miss (near-death experience seems slightly dramatic) when a coconut fell from a tree missing me by millimetres!!
