BScHons, MChS, MSc

I graduated the Durham School of podiatric medicine in 2009 with a BSc Hons in Podiatric Medicine where I gained the knowledge and skill to work with patients to assess, diagnose and treat pathologies in the lower limb and become HCPC registered.  In 2010 I developed this academic understanding further by completing a MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice at Sunderland University . This course provided deeper understanding of pathologies and disease that would directly effect my patients on a day to day basis. My main area or research and learning was in Rheumatology and more specifically Arthritis and how it effects patients in its physical manifestations and lifestyle changes.

In 2010 I joined the well established Chiropody Clinic Limited as an associate Podiatrist/Chiropodist. Here I developed my clinical skill through 8 years of hands on experience working with patients of all ages with varying diseases and foot care issues.  In 2014 Paula Middleditch invited me to become a partner in the practice to help to take the company forward and from here we have expanded our team and our clinical outreach adding new clinic locations and becoming an associate AQP to the NHS.

Chiropody care can sometimes be underestimated as basic care but for a patient living with foot pain the negative impact can be detrimental to everyday life effecting mobility, confidence and giving greater risk to other health complications. I approach every treatment holistically and look at the problem and the impact the problem has on the individual person to not only treat the condition but prevent it returning.

Nothing makes me happier than having a patient leave my clinic saying that they are walking on air.

In my spare time, I love spending time with my husband, family and friends. Exercise is one of my main pastimes – Pilates and going to the gym keep me happy and healthy for the most part, but I can also be found in the form of exercising in the form of chasing my mischievous French bulldog around!

I look forward to meeting you and helping care for your feet.
