Hi, I’m Vicky and I’ve been a physio for over 25 years. I established Tayloredfit Physio in September 2014 with my husband Mark.
I graduated from Coventry University in 1993 with an honours degree in physiotherapy, returning to my native north east to work at the Freeman Hospital in Newcastle, gaining experience, friendships and clarity over the area I wanted to specialise in. I then worked for 16 years for a large private physiotherapy company, working in clinics, occupational health and primary care. This allowed me to gain experience in staff development, teaching and management, as well as becoming even more passionate about my patients and helping them achieve their goals and expectations.
I have gained knowledge and expertise in many areas of physiotherapy and holistic healthcare, completing my MMACP (Manipulative Association of Chartered Physiotherapists), gaining credits towards an MSc, further enhancing my clinical reasoning, differential diagnosis and the range of treatment modalities and techniques I use in day to day practice. I have incorporated pilates into my practice and look forward to meeting you in one of my classes.
I have always been passionate about using the least invasive, holistic healthcare approaches and began integrating Craniosacral Therapy into my practice 20 years ago. This gentle yet powerful approach is suitable for newborns right through to the elderly, and I am proud to say I’m well known in the region for this as my speciality. As a mum of four and a busy household, I know how hard it can be to self care and to get the right balance. We try and take time out as a family and we have two gorgeous golden retrievers!
My team and I would love to help you and your family.
