We’re excited to welcome Lisa to Tayloredfit Physio in Durham, where she will be leading the development of our new women’s health physiotherapy services.
From pelvic health to menopause support, Lisa brings a truly unique and holistic approach to care. We sat down with her to learn more about her experience and what patients can expect.
What attracted you to Tayloredfit Physio Durham?
One of the biggest reasons I chose Tayloredfit Physio for the next stage of my career is their commitment to professional development and genuinely investing in their clinicians.
Having now qualified as a physiotherapist, I found myself in the fortunate position of considering several job offers. However, Tayloredfit stood out because of the supportive environment they’ve created and the comprehensive post-graduate development opportunities within musculoskeletal physiotherapy.
Their approach to learning is extensive, hands-on, and really centred around becoming the best clinician possible — something that really resonated with me.
How are you feeling about stepping further into physiotherapy?
I know I have my work cut out for me stepping further into the MSK physiotherapy world, but it’s also something I’m genuinely excited about.
Alongside developing my physiotherapy skills, I bring over a decade of clinical experience as a registered nurse, as well as my role as a menopause specialist nurse with the British Menopause Society.

How does your experience benefit women’s health physiotherapy patients?
This allows me to take a truly holistic approach.
By combining my nursing background, menopause expertise, and women’s health physiotherapy training, I look beyond just the injury or condition itself. This means I consider the wider physical, hormonal, emotional, and lifestyle factors that can impact recovery, movement, confidence, and overall wellbeing.
My goal is always to help people feel heard, understood, and supported — while empowering them to move well and feel stronger in their bodies.
What women’s health services will you offer at Tayloredfit Physio?
Alongside musculoskeletal physiotherapy, I’ll be offering:
- Women’s health physiotherapy
- Clinical pre- and postnatal care
- Female pelvic health support
- Menopause wellbeing support and education
- Clinical Pilates
- Sports massage
- Pregnancy massage
- Scar therapy and rehabilitation
This is a really exciting opportunity to build and develop these services within the clinic.
Why are you particularly passionate about women’s health physiotherapy?
As a 42-year-old mum to two boys aged 8 and 10, I’ve experienced many of the challenges women face. Having had two C-sections myself and now navigating perimenopause, I understand first-hand how important it is for women to feel supported throughout every stage of life.
Women’s health is something I’m deeply passionate about — both professionally and personally.

What can patients expect from women’s health physiotherapy?
For me, women’s health is about so much more than treating symptoms.
The focus is on helping women feel strong, understood, confident, and supported at every stage of life — whether that’s pregnancy, postnatal recovery, menopause, or beyond.
What excites you most about joining Tayloredfit Physio?
This is such an exciting time for the clinic, especially with the development of women’s health services.
For me, there isn’t a better place to continue growing this passion than alongside such a caring, forward-thinking and supportive team.
